Crezu review November 2026

This review of Crezu Malaysia brings together the facts on crezu.my, a check of its loan example against the Moneylenders Act caps and a comparison with Finmart and two licensed moneylenders. The goal is to show what the site leaves out.

The main takeaway: Crezu is not a lender. It is a free matching service that sends one application to partner lenders for loans of RM500 to RM10,000 over 91 to 120 days, with a maximum APR of 18%. Its RM5,000 example costs RM225, which sits right at the legal interest cap for unsecured moneylender loans.

How does Crezu compare with other lenders?

Crezu competes with comparison sites such as Finmart and with direct moneylenders that borrowers can apply to themselves. The table sets Crezu against Finmart and two KPKT-licensed lenders, Nimbura and Tambadana.

Crezu’s price is no lower than going direct. Tambadana’s own example for a RM5,000 loan over about 90 days also comes to RM225 in interest, the same cost as Crezu’s example. A matching service saves time by sending one form to several lenders, but it does not lower the rate those lenders charge.

Crezu fits the short-term market well: its 91–120 day term lies within the 91–180 day range of Nimbura and Tambadana, and its RM10,000 maximum matches what both offer returning customers. Finmart serves a different need, with a 12–84 month search range that suits bank personal loans.

About Crezu

Crezu is an intermediary, not a financial institution, bank or lender. It forwards your details to partner lenders, which run the credit check, decide on approval and sign the loan agreement with you. Crezu itself issues no loans and therefore holds no moneylending licence.

The brand belongs to Fininity OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registration number 14523902). Its terms are governed by Malaysian law, and users must be over 18.

Crezu interest rate сalculations

Since the partner lender sets the price, Crezu’s representative example is the best guide to what you will pay:

  • Loan amount: RM5,000
  • Term: 91 days (3 months)
  • Total repayable: RM5,225
  • Cost of credit: RM5,225 − RM5,000 = RM225
  • Maximum APR: 18%

The example sits right at the legal cap. Under section 17A of the Moneylenders Act 1951, a licensed moneylender may charge at most 18% a year on an unsecured loan. For RM5,000 over 91 days, that works out to RM5,000 × 18% × 91/365 = RM224.38, almost exactly Crezu’s RM225.

The same Act bars moneylenders from adding loan charges other than stamp duty and attestation fees. If a lender found through Crezu asks for an upfront “processing fee” before paying out, treat that as a warning sign and check its licence.

Pros and cons of Crezu

Pros

  • Free to use: Crezu charges no service or upfront fees.
  • One form, several lenders: partner lenders reply with offers you can accept or decline.
  • Clear cost example: RM5,000 over 91 days for RM5,225 in total.
  • Applicants with a weaker credit history can still apply, although a good record improves the amount offered.
  • Only a Malaysian ID number, mobile number and online banking details are needed to start.

Cons

  • Not cheaper than going direct: the example matches the legal maximum rate.
  • Applications sent at night are processed only the next working day.
  • The site lists no phone number or support email.
  • The operator is based in Estonia, not Malaysia.

Crezu loan application process

The process runs fully online and takes two stages: a short request on crezu.my, then the lender’s own application.

  1. Choose an amount between RM500 and RM10,000 and fill in the short questionnaire.
  2. Crezu passes your details to partner lenders, which check your creditworthiness and send back a preliminary decision.
  3. Pick an offer and complete the lender’s application with your MyKad number, mobile number and online banking details.
  4. Sign the lender’s agreement and receive the money in your bank account, confirmed by SMS.

Partner lenders process applications within a few hours during their working hours. The site also promises a decision “within minutes”, but a request sent late at night waits until the next day.

Requirements and what happens if you cannot repay

What you need
